Dear Richard and race team,

 

  May I take this opportunity (As district sailing secretary) to thank you and your team for organising and  presenting a well run and disciplined two days of very challenging racing at the very highest level of competition.

 

The fleet we saw at Castle Semple was the cream of UK sailors and possibly of the world. It also speaks volumes that a few at the last minute chose to travel by car because of the none flying restrictions, this says two things to me

 

A)      They know the reputation of the district to run a regatta to a very high standard.

 

B)      They know that the on shore facilities are second to none.

 

It was very gratifying to see so many of our own skippers taking the plunge and entering the event and I trust that all have thought it worth while and gained some valuable knowledge and experience.

 

 

  It was a time to put faces to people we might have spoken to on the phone it was a time of forming new friendships and renewing old, and the Saturday evening get together at the Bowfield was to my mind one of the best we have had (and the price £14.00 )
